Medal is a feature in the game Monster Box. It works like an achievement system, rewarding players with bonuses when they achieve certain requirements. Currently 31 Medals are available in the game.

Medal Bonuses[]

The medal bonuses are awarded to players who successfully completed the medal requirements. Currently 3 types of bonuses are available:

  • Money Bonus: All gold drops from enemies are increased by this amount.
  • Money Boost: All gold drops from enemies are increased by this percentage.
  • Damage Boost: All damages done by characters are increased by this percentage, except Half Life attacks from Boxers)

The Money Boost and the Damage Boost are calculated additively. For example, 2 Medals giving 20% Money Boost will gave a total of 40% Money Boost.   As of ver4.9, the highest possible reward boosts obtainable is +50 Money Bonus, +560% Money Boost (6.6x multiplier), and +540% Damage Boost (6.4x multiplier).

The Money Medal is awarded when the player accumulates a certain amount of money (does not include any spent money) and rewards players with Money Boost. The list of requirements and bonuses are as follows:

MBJewelMedal Jewel[]

The Jewel Medal is awarded when the player obtains a certain amount of Jewels (including the spent Jewels) and rewards players with Damage Boost. The list of requirements and bonuses are as follows:

MBBossLVMedal Max Boss LV[]

The Max Boss LV Medal is awarded when the player kills a LV 50 Boss. This rewards the player a 50% Damage Boost.

MBTotalKillMedal Total Monster Kill[]

The Total Monster Kill Medal is awarded when the player reaches a specified number of total kills and rewards players with a Money Boost. The list of requirements and bonuses are as follows:

Assuming a killing rate of 4500 monsters per second, it would take approximately 1.85 million seconds to achieve maximum level for this medal. This converts to over 21.4 days of gameplay if one plays the game 24/7. At one hour of gameplay per day, it would take over 514 days to reach maximum level, making this medal very time consuming to acheive maximum level.

MBMonsterBarMedal Monster Bar[]

The Monster Bar Medal is awarded when the player successfully reaches a certain percentage of the Monster Bar and then survive for a set amount of time. This Medal rewards players with Money Boost. The list of requirements and bonuses are as follows:

MBPopUpMedal Pop Up[]

The Pop Up Medal is awarded when the amount of spawning monsters (i.e. number of the square dots symbolising a spawning monster on screen, not amount of active monsters on screen as counted in the monster bar) reaches the specified value. Due to spawning mode differences, some monster types such as Kintsuba will help with this medal. This medal rewards players with Money Bonus. The list of requirements and bonuses are as follows:

The Click Time Medal is awarded when the player click and hold on the Monster Box continuously for the specified amount of time. This medal rewards players with Money Bonus. The list of requirements and bonuses are as follows:

The Single Class LV Medals (named as "(class name) Only Lv" in the game) are awarded if the player reaches a total stickmen LV of the specified value using stickmen of one class only. This medal rewards players with Money Bonus. The list of requirements and bonuses are as follows:

Note that the current maximum LV for stickman is 180. This means the LV 5 version of this Medal set is currently impossible to attain as 8 × 180 = 1440 < 1600.

The All Party LV Medal is awarded if the player reaches a total stickmen LV of the specified value while having at least one stickman of each Class. This medal rewards players with Money Bonus. The list of requirements and bonuses are as follows:

Note that the current maximum LV for stickman is 180. THis means the LV 5 version of this Medal set is currently impossible to attain as 8 × 180 = 1440 < 1600.

MBRevivalMedal Revival[]

The Revival Medal is awarded at Game Over if the player upgraded the Revival percentage of the Kusa Mochi above 100%. This rewards the player a +3 Money Bonus.

MBBoundMedal Bound[]

The Bound Medal is awarded if the player upgraded the Bound percentage of the Kintsuba above 1000% and then spawning a new group of Yellow Box Snakes. This rewards the player a +3 Money Bonus.

MBDeltaMedal Delta[]

The Delta Medal is awarded if there are more than 1000 Delta Feathers created from the Yatsuhashi on screen. This rewards the player a +3 Money Bonus.

MBTowerMedal Tower[]

The Tower Medal is awarded if there are more than 500 Ohagis with maximum height on screen. This rewards the player a +3 Money Bonus.
